The live band RMF were Gus was lead voice and bassist has ....ceased operations ... so to say. We have been down for a couple of months. But the drummer of RMF, and earlier Tumult, Öjje Forsberg and I have a almost intuitive way och playing together. That's a big thing for drums and bass. So we will probably always be playing together. You can hear his wonderful drummin' on several of the latest Gus Muller recordings. And there will be more of that!
Anyway ... the abstinece of not messin' around together in the studio every week just got to much! So.... we started a pop up pop band. Yeah! A band that is right now...but then... we don't know ... but it will turn out. We have a plan for a distant gig so that will be our goal right now. Then we will see.... what happens. So Öjje and I turned to the very nice and talendted keyboardplayer of former coverband Tumult and asked if she wanted to ..... fool around in the studio once a week? And she did! So now we are Forsberg Wilson & Muller. Yeah, because ... her name is Wilson. Charlotta Wilson. So all of us have been part of coverband Tumult before, and it's so nice being back together.
The band, though, will only have a keyboard, a bass and drums. I know what your thinking, "that's not rock 'n roll"! And your right, it's not. But we will lend the guitarist of the bluesband B-sides in songs that needs him. And he will be playing the Saxophone too, on and off. He's called Stefan and you can hear him on several Gus Muller recordings. Last name Hedenström. And now?...... no still not rock 'n roll. So we will add a choir we think. We have a couple of girls in mind but we haven't spoken to them yet. But we think they will want to. Just to be shure we gave them a name. The Spanjolettes. Good ehhh?
So we will be "Forsberg Wilson & Muller, Featuring: the Stefan and the Spanjolettes". We found it so much easier to say than ... RMF?
Well, we are getting there. We had our first three man session last monday and it was like ..... not great ... but nice to be back together again. And as if time never really passed. You know, same lame jokes....
