MY FAVOURITE CORNER

Yes! Probably my favourite corner in the whole world. It's the inner far left corner in the studio in Aspudden, just outside Stockholm. This is where we rehearse with Forsberg Wilson & Muller Feat: The Stefan and the Spanjolettes. And before with RMF. The live bands. But it's also where i keep the song mic when recording Gus songs. Oddly, when playing the instruments I move to the middle wall were the computer is, and Cubase. But singing, I do it best in my corner.
My corner, Welcome to my world.
Along with me in the corner are my best friends in making music. I keep them in close reach. It's my bass the Hagström HB 4, my guitars the Hagström Ultra swede electric and the Yamaha APX 700. The Yamaha just sounds astonishing when plugged into the amp. My amp is a bass amp but I use it for everyting. It's a EBS Reidmar 250 paired with a EBS classic 1x12 boombox. And yes I have a catamaran edtition, doubble of everytihing. Actually the Reidmar 250 can drive 2 EBS 1*12 Classic cabinets. But I used to play in two bands so ... doubble.
Rubberbands and guitars
Yeah! Kick ass!
Maybe you can see a Casall Exetube Black hanging on the mic stand. And no. I dont work out. But when singing I need it. When I was recording "Dear Louise", wich is a rather slow and slender song, I ran into troubble. My voice varies just a little bit in pitch and volume then. Give me some full volume rock'n roll and I'm on my street, but I have problems when it gets smoother, gentler. I asked my kick ass voice coach what to do? So she picked up a rubber band and told me to put it under my foot. She said "-Pull when singing and relax when breathing". I did. And it worked. I mean of course it did, she said so and she's kick ass so.... Well now I keep it there, the rubberband, for gentler songs. So both "Dear Louise" and parts of "Tell the world" are rubber band songs for me.
Have a really nice weekend folks!
/Gus
