After more than 36 hours of intense rain in Stockholm it’s …. still raining. So I started the not so fun part of music making…. mixing and sorting thru all recordings done in the studio. When I’m in the studio I record and then record the same thing again. Several guitar tracks, bass tracks and vocals. It’s fun and I think it “will be good to have” a lot of recordings to work with back in the office. But…. it takes a lot of time listening to details, choosing which track and if necessary cutting bit’s and pieces from several track to cover up mistakes I didn’t hear In the studio to one new track to be used in the mix.
And the… sound. First working with the EQ for each track. Then listening to them together and resetting the EQ:s. Adding reverb, echoes, compressors, phasers …. It never ends. But I’m not really complaining. Although it’s the least fun part of making music, it’s still fun compared to other job’s I have or had.
Today, though, the weather adds to the least fun of it all.
